BOTOX® Cosmetic

BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment is a very popular, office-based procedure used to smooth unwanted facial wrinkles and lines. Some of the most common treatment areas are the sides of the eyes (also known as crow’s feet), in between the eyebrows for vertical skin creases, and within the forehead for horizontal creases. Both men and women who have unwanted wrinkles in these regions are good candidates for BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment for hyperdynamic lines resulting from underlying muscle contractions with facial animation of emotional expression.

A topical anesthetic is applied to the skin thirty to forty-five minutes before the treatment, followed by a cold compress just before the procedure. The injection itself takes five to ten minutes to complete.
BOTOX® Cosmetic Recovery

With the BOTOX® Cosmetic procedure, there is minimal downtime, though some temporary redness and swelling may appear for a few minutes directly following the procedure. Most patients return to their normal daily routines within a few hours, with results from the procedure typically appearing within forty-eight hours from the procedure. Results can typically last for three to four months.
